I'm well acquainted with the birds and plants of my local neck of the US, but don't often get to see further afield in person. That would be very interesting. I have one on American birds and I have a great back yard where I get to see many of the ones native to Texas: woodpeckers, blue jays, mockingbirds, lots of cute little brown and black and white birds and also the red tail hawk. Once I even spotted an owl, but it is rare because they are nocturnal.

I also love the Herriot books and I was surprised when I read them to my son how much language was in them. It did not register when I read them for myself, so yes. We had to edit a little.

It's also funny to me that you talk of autumns because here it is spring with the leaves freshly back on the trees and the Azaleas and Wisteria blooming.

Well, have a lovely fall and thanks for sharing a piece of your world with us.Sharon Wilfonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17466621290140789056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7546783121640385268.post-67733759687584955012018-04-26T20:56:06.577+10:002018-04-26T20:56:06.577+10:00Enjoy spring in your part of the world.Enjoy spring in your part of the world.Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06820925595506920754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7546783121640385268.post-22717428925111935002018-04-24T21:56:34.375+10:002018-04-24T21:56:34.375+10:00Oh! I find them very interesting & would like to be more knowledgeable about them but it's not easy to identify them. Once I send a photo to an expert who had a website devoted to them & he kindly got back to me with the name etc. I don't remember the name of the website, unfortunately. I actually tend to take a lot of pictures of fungus and mushrooms. That is a a really interesting one that you found.
