How interesting that it takes up such modern themes. I'm intrigued!Loryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08519976394732029323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7546783121640385268.post-82234047526628987932015-04-15T21:43:26.434+10:002015-04-15T21:43:26.434+10:00I have this on my kindle to read. The story surprised me in this aspect - there's nothing new under the sun. Bringing up children wasn't idyllic before TV, social media, peer pressure etc. The 1700's wasn't plain sailing either.Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06820925595506920754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7546783121640385268.post-54514451909449149242015-04-12T16:43:01.212+10:002015-04-12T16:43:01.212+10:00I disliked this book and asked a college English t...I disliked this book and asked a college English teacher why it could be considered a classic. He said that it was one of the first books to show a pastor who was a "real" person with real troubles.hopeinbrazilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05842290165385823751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7546783121640385268.post-81063310388072537772015-04-12T14:50:27.127+10:002015-04-12T14:50:27.127+10:00I loved this book. It's been awhile so it's certainly time for a re-read. I really enjoyed all your background information in your review. I knew nothing about him and now I'm much more educated. :-)Cleohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13152128642971612433noreply@blogger.com
