Some of my older ones read it alongside Jeff Baldwin's book, The Deadliest Monster, which contrasted the worldviews behind Frankenstein & Jeckyll & Hyde. I agree with you about...I did like this book a lot. I agree with you about the prose but I think in some ways that is part of the appeal. I love that Harold Bloom quotation.
