Classic Children's Literature Event

This event is in its fifth year and this is the third year I've participated in it. It's only a month long and there is also an optional read along - Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. See Simpler Pastimes for more information.
This year I'm planning to read these books:

My Friend Flicka by Mary O'Hara (1941)

Devil's Hill by Nan Chauncy (1958)

And if time permits, maybe one or two others.

Thanks for joining in! I'm not familiar with the second title you list, so I look forward to learning more. Happy Reading!

Reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to my kids was one of the most joyful experiences of my life!

I love the fact that I'm immersed in classic children's lit every day. I'll miss it when my littles grow big. Maybe I'll join this event then. :)

Thanks for organising the vent, Amanda. Great idea.

I always think of C.S.Lewis's comment “A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest.”
So it will never be too late...
